house cleaning rates

Deciding house cleaning rates will take some good proficient knowledge, Common-Business-Sense and some practice. One common pricing method is to setup a house cleaning price list. This list should include most if not all of your company’s house cleaning services prices. Some companies do like to have all three separate lists for house cleaning cost to hand out to their clients. The first list would be as a residential HOUSE CLEANING LIST then a second could be apartment cleaning business and the third should be a commercial or office cleaning business.

As an advertising cost saver step, we like to include a package rate offer to all of our new customers of an office and a home cleaning schedule at a 10 percent discount. We also currently try to average about $30 per hour and per cleaner.

More labor intensive cleaning tasks can be scheduled as needed. Typically they could include a list of services and prices as shown here as some extra house cleaning rates.

Also homes to be cleaned on the weekend should be priced higher but not as much as on any major holiday or special events like a graduation and wedding parties. Some big companies charge an initial fee over and above there maintenance visit costs.

Another way of setting house cleaning costs is to charge by the number of rooms or by bedrooms. A one bedroom studio could fetch $30.00 per week or $35 biweekly, and then just add $20.00 more per room per cleaning.

If you are doing deep thorough cleaning, or seasonal cleaning you might want to charge more. Increase your fees according to square footage of the place which you are cleaning. CLEANING RUGS is earning at $0.18 to 0.22 per square foot if using a van truck-mount-carpet-cleaning system, These rates should work out to about $30 per room or one hour of work per room. As for shampooing stairs the going rate is $2 per step.
