Some basic cleaning recipes with our do-it-yourself cleaning-kit contents are given on this page. There is just no reason at all to pay a big bunch for expensive commercial cleaning products.

It is just as easy to use household cleaners as effective alternative that can work like magic.Using green household cleaners is a much safer way to do any cleaning.Cleaning with vinegar and baking soda are used as natural oven cleaners.Cleaning windows with ammonia and vinegar really does work great.

basic cleaning recipes

Universal All-Purpose Cleaner:

Mix 1/4 cup vinegar , 1/8 cup baking soda (or a teaspoon of borax) Add a quart of clear water. Usage: shower walls or tubs, bathroom chrome fixtures, windows, bathroom mirrors, etc. Soak a microfiber cloth and lift off dirt and grease plus magically banish any fingerprints. Follow up by wiping with a clean dry microfiber cloth.

A flu-season cleaner:

Mix a cup rubbing alcohol to a quart of fresh water Then add in these essential oils Five drops of tea tree oil and five drops of eucalyptus Ten drops of lavender or honeysuckle essential oil Usage: spray onto bathroom fixtures and door handles plus all cupboards and drawer handles Follow up by wiping with a clean dry microfiber cloth.


Homemade Laminate floor Cleaner:

Mix equal parts with a half cup of white vinegar and one half cup of rubbing alcohol plus three drops of Spic and Spand or a mild dish soap, include 5-6 drops essential oils (optional) to a quart of clear water into a plastic 32 ounce spray bottle. Please don't forget to Label it as "Floor Cleaner".

Spray a microfiber floor pad with the cleaning recipes and clean the floor in small areas at a time. Follow up by wiping with a clean dry microfiber floor pad.


Oven or Refrigerator cleaner:

For ovens, Preheat oven to 100deg. than turn off Dampen with spray bottle of warm water Sprinkle generously with baking soda Leave 15 minutes Make moist as needed with spray bottle of warm water scrub with a microfiber cloth until clean. Rinse with one fourth of a cup of vinegar per quart of fresh water Follow up by wiping with a clean dry microfiber cloth Allow oven to finish cooling for ovens


Very Green All-Purpose Spray:

In a 32 oz. spray bottle mix together 2 cups water One half cup white vinegar 1 teaspoon liquid castilesoap and 5 drops of peppermint or jasmine oil One cup hydrogen peroxide Ten drops tea tree oil Usage: spray onto walls and counter tops or cupboards and drawers Follow up by wiping with a clean dry microfiber cloth.



Microwave Cleaner:

Mix one half of a cup vinegar and 1 cup of water Place in microwave safe bowl, heat on high for three minutes, Remove bowl and wipe down inside of microwave with a microfiber cloth until clean


Drain Cleaner:

Put a cup baking soda into the clogged drain first Follow with a cup of vinegar Then pour in about a gallon of very hot water Allow to foam for 5 minutes before adding cool water.
